NDIS & Disability Support FAQs
Have some questions? We've got the answers!
The NDIS provides choice, control, and independence by replacing existing disability service funding with personalized funding packages. You collaborate with the government to determine your approved funding package and choose your service providers. Through an NDIS planning meeting, tailored plans are created based on your needs and goals. Funding is then allocated directly to you for spending with approved service providers.
To be eligible for an NDIS support package, you must:
- Live in an area where the NDIS is available
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Special Category Visa holder
- Meet the disability or early intervention requirements
- Be under 65 years of age when the access request is made
- Meet any other conditions relevant to your individual circumstances
